(Hornok Lajosné Német Eszter az endrődi summásokról) MIGRANTS The first migrants of villages broke with the traditional peasantry lifestyle years earlier, than those who stayed at their homelands. Far away from their loved ones, working as a seasonal agrarian worker, at the railway or in the industry they became much more open minded and mobile than the members of the village community. This mobility aided the start of emigration. Almost all of the communities who started the migration were living near to the railway. Due to their mobility, railwaymen had a remarkable role as information carrier in shaping the results of migration. MIGRÁNSOK Az első falubeli kivándorlók már évekkel korábban elszakadtak a tradicionális paraszti életformától. Távol szeretteiktől, idény agrármunkásként, a vasútnál vagy az iparban dolgozva jóval mobilabbak voltak, mint a falusi közösség többi tagja. Ez a mobilitás elősegítette a kivándorlás megindulását. A kivándorlást elindító községek csaknem mindegyike a vasút vonzásában élt. A vasutasok mobilitásuk miatt, és információhordozóként is jelentősebb szereppel bírtak a kivándorlás alakulásában. 25
