SUMMARY Physicians in the album amicorum of Ferenc Pápai Páriz Jr., 1711-1726. - The Library of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTAK) keeps the album (shelf-mark: Tört. Napló kis 8° 6) of Ferenc Pápai Páriz Jr., medical student, then physician. It is a valuable document of his peregrination between 1711-1726 - as well as of cultural relations in Europe -, containing autographs by about 120 persons: scientists, physicians, jurists, linguists, theologians and pastors, professors and students from his homeland Transylvania, and from Hungary, Germany, the Netherlands, England, and Switzerland. The mementos consist of a quotation, short motto, dedication, date, and signature. The album is in Latin, with many Greek and Hebrew quotations and phrases, and one sentence in Arabic or Syriac, Italian, Provençal etc. The images of each page are now available on the internet (http://ppf.mtak.hu), accompanied by the text printed in the original language, its translation, identification of quotations, biographies, and literature, all in Hungarian and in English. Links are provided to the pages from lists of persons, dates, places, and a map of Europe. Some of the renowned persons are: Sir Isaac Newton, Edmond Halley, Daniel Ernst Jablonski, President of the Prussian Academy in Berlin, Georg Ernst Stahl, natural scientist, physician, chemist, Albert Schultens, hebraist, Bernhard Siegfried Albinus, anatomist, Mihály Apafi II, Prince of Transylvania, William Wake, Archbishop of Canterbury, Sir William VII Dawes, Archbishop of York, Jean Frédéric Ostervald, theologian, and Ferenc Pápai Páriz Sen., physician, the owner's father.
