ESZTER SZILASSy - ZSUZSA ÁRENDÁS "Light green" or "light brown"? Refugee children, educators, conflicts and Hungarian discourses of otherness This article focuses on the way of how we can live with "otherness". The site of the research is the school. It asks what kind of narratives are to be found that concerns refugee children wose mother tongues differ form Hungarian. The analysis takes place on two levels. It partly concentrates on the teachers' stories about the children, partly on the refugee chidren's narratives. Here the essay takes the children's point of view in order to gain insight into their identity and categorisation problems as well as to show their conflicts with the majority of the society.
