ed a good reputation in the district, Dut its most important task is to provide canteen meals for the workers and satisfy in its special halls partly their cultural and entertainment demands. In the course of the farm development the level of farming was considerably raised which unambiguously was evidenced by the increase of yield averages as well. Intensification of the management was characterized by the trend of meat production per unit-area. While in the years following the establishment of the Farm the meat production per 100 hectares arable land was only 21,3 q by 1969 it rose to 145,7 q. The value of commodity production was similarly multiplied. From the modest 1.5 million forints of 1959 it reached 52,5 million forints by 1969. In the examined period the accumulated production value per unit of arable land rose from 2126 to 9476 forints, which was followed — in an even larger measure —• by a dynamic change in the utilization of industrial means of production. The costs of materialized labour changed from 1292 to 5773 forints. Though the cost level increased thus from 47 to 61 per cent, the gross income was multiplied both specifically and in absolute value. The utilization of gross incomes changed similarly. In the year of the establishment about 90 per cent of it, 1,4 million forints were allotted to personal incomes, while only 0,1 million forints were spent on the development of production and 0,03 million forints on social and cultural purposes. In the las year examined the volume of personal income was more than ten times as large as that of the basic year, 17,1 million forints; 6,6 million forints were allotted to, the development of production and 1,7 million forints for social- and cultural purposes. During the past il years the Cooperative Farm reached a level which can be regarded as the basis of up-to-date largescale farming. Duties of the future are : a considerable increase of specific yields on one hand ; development of the forces of production, particularly of the intellectual forces, replacement and continuative education of specialists on the other.
