According to their proposal the yearly membership contribution should be between 50 and 300 Crowns, depending on the size of the company. The sum would be determined by the company itself and approved by the statutory meeting, later by the board. On June 4, 1904 another preparatory meeting was convened. This found it possible, relying on the applications, to establish the association and convened the statutory meeting for October 16, 1904, at the board room of GYOSZ. Fourty-seven Hungarian chemical companies sent representatives to the statutory meeting. In his opening address Ágoston Kohner mentioned that the boom of the German chemical industry was due to a great part to the fact that it had an outstanding organization at its disposal in representing its interests. In the more modest Hungarian conditions he considered establishing of the directives for the development of the Hungarian chemical industry as one of the most urgent tasks.
