season of excavations was already in full swing. He was taken on his tour by Dr. Bahnam Abu Es-Soof, Keeper of the Iraq Museum in charge of the ex­cavations at Tell es-Sawwan and Arbil, so this trip was not only very memo­rable because of the famous sites, but it was also enlivened by Dr. Bahnam's very cordial attitude. László Ferenczy participated in the III. International Congress of Turkish Art in Cambridge, July 24—29 th and also gave a lecture. In London and Oxford he visited the museums. On his way going to England, he spent some time in the Berlin-Dahlem-Museum, in the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Ham­burg and the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, while on Iiis return trip, he stopped in Cologne and Vienna to study the Asiatic collections of the museums. Vera Horváth made a study-tour in the Transylvanian part of Rumania, visiting the museums and art monuments, October 26 — November 4 th .
