A cs. k, hadsereg élelmezése menetben, táborban a napóleoni háborúk előtt 43 ka módosításával - önálló csatárok vonalai tűzzel készítették elő a zászlóalj-, illetve ezredoszlopok áttörő rohamait -, hadosztálykötelékek felállításával, a sátortáborok, a trén megszüntetésével és a gazdag Rajna melletti térség kifosztásának következtében rendkívüli mozgékonyságot értek el. Napóleon fővezérsége alatt az összes fegyvernemet magában foglaló kis hadseregek, 30-35 ezer fős hadtestek trén nélkül, kíméletlen rekvirálásokkal, külön sávokban, napi 40 km-es menetsebességgel nyomultak előre, és koncentrikusan egyesültek a csatákhoz. A koalíciós erők csökkentették ugyan utánpótlási lépcsőik kocsimennyiségét, de fenn kellett tartaniuk a hátországi szállítások rendszerét. A nehézkes trén, illetve az ellenfél új taktikája és mozgékonysága miatt a cs. k. hadsereg kiszolgáltatottá vált. RATIONING OF THE IMPERIAL ROYAL ARMY ON THE MARCH AND IN CAMP, PRIOR TO THE NAPOLEONIC WARS In the short study, the author summarises the technical methods of the assembly march, provision on the way and the logistics of long campaigns in the Imperial Royal Army, before the Napoleonic Wars. Operational and provision lines between the Bohemian Basin and the Rhine, later between Hungary and Galicia, ran an incredible distance. Losses of the forces deployed had to be retrieved, combatants needed daily supplies. Marching columns (50 km long cart columns at times) and herds of cattle, shepherded on feet and threatened by foot-and-mouth disease, had to arrive at the given area on time. War machinery moved a huge hinterland organisation that required more people than soldiers at the commander's service in the infantry, cavalry and artillery. Military history must not be limited to the introduction of battles and manoeuvres. Ways of allowances in kind should also be presented: from procurement to bakers and butchers; from the registration of remount horses to tending disabled animals; from the establishment of hospitals to the portioning of straw; from contracting with canteen-keepers to establishing the rations of tending women. The functioning of the hinterland organisation did not only influence battles and wars, it even decided their outcome sometimes. History on the micro scale is a popular topic of scientific research and museum exhibitions all around the world. Introducing the soldier's everyday life and presenting his special circumstances - these concepts gain ground in various fields of science. For this reason, the study should be useful and thought provoking, among others, in the museum practice. DIE LEBENSMITTELVERSORGUNG DER K. K. ARMEE VOR DEN NAPOLEONISCHEN KRIEGEN Die alltagsgeschichtlichen Forschungen erleben weltweit ihre Renaissance, deren Auswirkung spürt man bei der Themenwahl der Ausstellungen in Museen und bei den Sonderausstellungen. Die Darstellung des alltäglichen Lebens des Soldaten, beziehungsweise die Vorstellung sowie die Forschungen der Problematik seiner speziellen Lebensumstände bekommen ebenfalls einen immer größeren Spielraum. Unserer Meinung nach kann die nachfolgende Studie brauchbar und gedankenerregend auch in der Praxis der Museen sein. In einer kurzen Studie fasst der Autor die technischen Methoden der Versammlungsmarsche, der Versorgung beim Marschieren und der Nachschübe während langer Feldzüge im k. k. Armee vor den französischen Kriegen. Die Kriegsoperation- und Proviantnachschubslinien dehnten sich in enormer Länge zwischen Ungarn und Galizien beziehungsweise dem Böhmischen Becken, später dem Rhein.
