A római kori beépítettség kutatása az aquincumi canabae északi előterében (Budai Balogh Tibor)

padlószintek alatt egy visszaszedett fal maradványa is előkerült. A fal visszabontása lezárt egy építési periódust, amelynek nyomait a helyiség egyéb pontjain is érzékeltük. Az azt követő periódusban létesült az alsó terrazzoszint, amelynek megújítása azonban már nem egy soron következő, a teljes épületet átfogó építési periódust jelöl, inkább a padlószinteknek az épület egészétől független megújítására kell gondolnunk. Megjegyzendő, hogy a keletre előkerült helyiség terrazzo padlószintje nagyjából a megújított, felső szint magasságában jelentkezett. Az ép terrazzo alatt a periódusok kutatására nem maradt időnk, de minthogy ez a helyiség szinte teljes egészében a házalapon kívül esik, a vizsgálódásra a távolabbi jövőben még lehetőség fog nyílni. (Korábban Zsidi Paula is két periódust tudott határozottan elkülönítem: ZSIDI 2000, 71; ZSIDI 2001, 63) A két terrazzopadlós helyiséget északról egyazon fal zárta le, kiszedés formájában. Erről a falról ágazott le egv széles főfal, amely észak felé végigfutott az egész megásott területen, és azon túl is folytatódnia kell. A főfalról nyugati leágazást nem észleltünk, keleti irányban azonban négy helyiség indulását is regisztrálhattuk, amelyek teljes egészükben a rézsűfalon túl húzódnak. A főfalat két hehen is átvágtuk, alapárka rendkívül méhnek és szélesnek bizonyult. Különösen érdekes, hogy a fal kiszedésekor az egyéb építészeti törmelék mellett feltűnően sok, jó minőségű, hasznosítható követ is a heh színen hagytak. A főfal és kömv éke az egykori padlószintnél mélyebben került elő, jócskán a homokos altalajban. Csak remélni lehet, hogy a rézsűfalon túli rész jövőbeni kutatására az 1882. évi tereprendezés szintjétől kezdve lehetőség nyílik majd. mains from the higher, renewed level also supported a terrazzo floor since the pink terrazzo perfectly preserved in the next interior room over the eastern removed wall also lav on top of a tegula foundation. The entirely preserved terrazzo was of very high quality unlike the significantly coarser grey version found in the southern room. A bronze Probus coin was found on the surface of the pink terrazzo. (Fig. 5) Importantly with respect to periodisation, the remains of a pulled-down wall were also found under the floor levels. The removal of this wall ended a construction period, the traces of which could be observed in other parts of the room as well. The lower terrazzo level was established in the next period. Its renovation did not reflect however, a subsequent construction period affecting the entire building but only renovation of the floor levels independent of the building complex. It should be added that the terrazzo floor level of the room found to the east appeared at approximately the same level as the renovated upper level. We did not have enough time to investigate the periods under the intact terrazzo, nevertheless, as this room lies nearly entirely outside the foundation of the building, there will be apossibility to study it later, (earlier, Paula Zsidi was definitely able to differentiate two separate periods: ZSIDI 2000, 71; ZSIDI 2001,63). The same removed wall marked one end of the two rooms with terrazzo floors in the north. A wide main wall branched off from the place of this wal. It intersected the entire excavated area towards the north and certainly continued even further. No branching to the west from the main wall could be detected, while the start of four rooms could be registered
