Szondázás a Bécsi úti temető északi részén (Budapest, 111. ker.. Bécsi út 136., Ursz: 16266/7.) lést excavation in the northern part of the cemetery on Bécsi Road (Budapest UÎ, 136 Bécsi Road, Lrn.: 16266/7) Az aquincumi canabae nyugati temetőjének - mely nagyjából a mai Bécsi utat követte - több részlete ismert leletmentések és megelőző feltárások révén. (Összefoglalóan, további irodalommal: FACSÁDY 2000, HABLE 2001) A temető északi részén, a Bécsi út nyugati oldalán az utóbbi évek folyamán az eddig beépítetlen területeken sorra létesülnek az újabb és újabb áruházak, bevásárlóközpontok. 2002-ben az osztrák Center Invest Kft. kezdte meg a „Stop and Shop" áruházlánchoz tartozó épületegyüttes kivitelezését. A csúszásveszélyes területen a leendő épületegyüttest támfal kiképezésével védik, a római temető sávjában parkoló lesz. A tereprendezéssel és a támfal készítésével párhuzamosan megkezdtük a régészeti feltárást is: több ponton gépi munkával szondát nyitottunk. The Austrian Center Invest Kft started the construction of the building complex of the "Stop and Shop" department store chain in 2002. The building complex will be protected from slippage by a boulder wall, while a parking lot will be established in the zone of the Roman cemetery.
