Budapest Ré­giségei 13 (1943) 360-399. the north-south channel running along it were found just a few cen­timetres under the present surface during the laying of the pipes that will drain the early floor level. (Fig. 6) The channel ran into the large collector conduit that ran inside the town wall, of which a short stretch was also uncovered. The area enclosed by the Roman period "public utility junction" was paved by flat slabs laid on top of a yellow sandy layer. A 66x114 cm large and 17 cm deep basin (?) or trough (?) plastered with mortar was sunk into the northern part of the paved surface. The surface opened in connection to the monument reconstruction measured 3.5x3.5 m, within which the surface was deepened, cleaned and document­ed only to the depth necessitated by the constructions (see the short report by Orsolya Láng in the same volume on the investigations of a neighbouring area).
