5. Gerendaszerkezetű út az aquincumi polgárvárosi amphiteatrumtól északra (Láng Orsolya)

Gerendaszerkezetű út az aquincumi polgárvárosi amphiteatrumtól északra (Budapest, III. ker., Zsófia utca 7., Hrsz.: 22995/5) 2001. első negyedévében több alkalommal került sor régészeti kutatásra a VELUX Kft. tulajdonában lévő ingatlan területén. A eég továbbképző központjának építését megelőzően a 2000-ik évben már végeztünk ásatásokat, ekkor szabálytalan, rendszert nem mutató karólyukak, gödrök, természetes terepmélyedések és egy, a római korra keltezhető gerendavázas konstrukció lenyomata került elő szórványos római kerámiával. (LÁNG 2001) A környék római kori használatára vonatkozóan segítségünkre voltak az 1994ben a Zsófia utca 1-3. (ZSIDI 1995) és az 1998-ban a Zsófia utca 16. szám (ZSIDI 1998) alatt végzett leletmentések, amelyek során római kori földbemélyített jelenségek, gerendanyomok, illetve korai hamvasztásos sírok kerültek elő. Elsőként februárban gázcsőakna kialakítása kapcsán dolgoztunk a Zsófia-Aranyaima utcák sarkán, a telekhatáron kívül.
