178 CCCXXXIH. SZÁM. Hungarian Empire shall enjoy the same privIIeges and be subject to no other restrictions than those agreed upon with regard te french subjects in the convention of August 7-th 1867. The Siamese Government reserves to itself moreover the right of prohibiting the exportation of rice fish and salt whenever itt shall find reason to apprehend a dearth in the conntry. But such prohibition, which must be published one month before being enforced, shall not interfere with the fulfIIment of contracts made bona fide, before its publication; the merchants of the Austro-HungarianMonarchy shall however inform the Siamese authorities of any bargains, they have concluded previously to te prohibition. It shall also be permitted that ships which have arrived in Siam at the time of the publication of said prohibition, or are on their way to Siam from Chinese ports or from Singapore, if they had left these ports before the prohibition to export, could be Known there-may be laden with rice fish and salt for exportation. Specie, bullion, provisions and personal effects may be imported and exported free of duty. Should the Siamese Government hereafter reduce the duties on goods imported or exported in Siamese or other bottoms, vessels belonging to the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy which import or export simIIar produce, shall immediately participate in the benefits acruing from such a reduction. ARTICLE XXIII. The Imperial and Royal Consular officer shall see that merchants and shipmasters of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy conform themselves to the regulations annexed to the present Treaty and the Siamese Authorities shall aid them to that end. All fines levied for infractions of the present treaty shall belong to the Siamese Government. ARTICLE XXIV. The Government and the citizens of the AustroHungarian Monarchy shall be allowed free and equal participation in any privIIeges that may have been, or may hereafter be granted by the Siamese A mi az erjedett és lepárolt italokat IIleti, az osztr.-magyar birodalom alattvalói ugyanazon szabadalmak álvezetében lesznek és más megszorításoknak alávettetni nem fognak, mint melyek franczia alattvalókra nézve az 1867. augusztus 7-iki egyezmény folytán fennállanak. A siami kormány ezenkívül fentartja magának azon jogot, hogy a rísz, halak és só kivitelét megtIIthatja, ha véleménye szerint beállható szükségtől lehet tartani az országban ; de az IIy tIIalom, mely életbelépte előtt egy hónappal kihirdetendő, nem gyakorolhat befolyást oly szerződések teljesítésére, melyek jóhiszemben a tIIalom kihirdetése előtt köttettek ; az osztrák-magyar monarchia kereskedői azonban minden oly vételt, melyet a tIIalom előtt megkötöttek, kötelesek a siami hatóságok tudomására hozni. Meg lesz egyszersmind engedve, hogy oly hajók, melyek a kiviteli tIIalom kihirdetésekor már megérkeztek volt Siamban, vagy melyek chinai kikötőkből, vagy Singaporéból kiindulva Siam felé tartanak, és az ottani kikötőket előbb hagyták el, mint a kiviteli tIIalom ott tudva lehetett volna, kivitel czéljából rizszsel, halakkal és sóval rakodhassanak meg. Készpénz, veretlen arany és ezüst, élelmi szerek és személyes tulajdont képező ingóságok vámmentesen vitethetnek be és ki. Ha a siami kormány jövőben a vámot bár mely siami vagy más hajókon ki- vagy bevitt árukra lejebb szállítaná, az IIy leszállítás előnyeit azonnal azon hason-termények is élvezendik, melyek az osztrák-magyar monarchia hajóin vitetnek ki vagy be. XXIII. CZIKK. A cs. és kir. consulatusi tisztviselők ügyelni fognak arra hogy az osztrák-magyar monarchia kereskedői és hajósai figyelemben tartsák azon szabályokat, melyek a jelen szerződéshez csatolvák, mely eljárásukban a siami hatóságok által is támogattatni fognak. Minden a jelen szerződés megszegése folytán fizetendő pénzbírságok a siami kormány javára esnek. XXIV. CZIKK. Az osztrák-magyar monarchia kormányának és állampolgárainak mindazon kiváltságok szabad és egyenlő élvezete biztosíttatik, melyeket a siami kormány akármely más nemzet kormányának, pol-
