555 magnitude was far from insignificant. Because the case of the Norwegian born calvinist entrepreneur was left out of consideration in the history of the " small depression ", Dr. Halmos, as he put forward, confined himself to analyze closely this individual case of it in his essay. The records and documents of the bankruptcy proceedings consist of four parts as follows: the declaration of bankruptcy, the petitions of the claims, the inventory of the bankrupt's estate, and the annulment of the inventory and bankruptcy. The records and ducuments relating to the first and the last phases of the bankruptcy proceedings fill only two thin files; their importance does not have close connection with Dr. Halamos's investigation. Even if the trustees paid particular attention to the capital assets invested into the business of Gudbrand Gregersen's firm the inventory includes all of the bankrupt's estate. The inventory of the sawmill can be especially the valuable source for the historian in technique as well. (The inventory of the house of the Gregersens is less itemized, but it can be used to the comparative study of the lifestyle of the entrepreneurs.) As far as the petitions of the claims is concerned, the bills form the large part of the claims meanwhile only a few delinquent taxes and outstanding invoices can be found among the documents. Mr. Péter Vidor summarized the bills in the tabular form and undertook the computer analysis of them. The author also intended to examine whether the distinction between the properties of the Gregersens and the capital assets of their firm is meaningful or not during the age of the entrepreneurial capitalism. Finally, he summarized his basic research findings about the position of the entrepreneurial capital in the business and the financial relationship of Gudbrand Gregersen's firm. The author endeavors to employ the methods of social and economic histories because the social and economic relationship of I. I. Kohen's banking and commercial branches of the firm can be hardly distinguished from each other in many cases. Additionally, the analysis of the structure of the kinship and family connections sheds light on the business practice of I. I. Kohen's firm, especially, in the field of its financial operations. I. I. Kohen's banking and commercial firm was involved in businesses of many firms and enterprises in almost all sectors and branches of industry. Similarly to the economic activity of the firm, I. I. Kohen joint the social environment and hierarchy by means of kinship and his family connections. Dr. Kövér touches upon the methodological problems of the analysis of the records and documents of the bankruptcy proceedings. In order to reconstruct I. I. Kohen's family relationships, he employed the data of the registers of birth, marriage and death, the orphans's court, and etc. These data also give
