PREFACE The 15th volume of "Műtárgyvédelem" contains lectures which belong to the second three themes from the five ranges of subjects of the International Restorer Seminar held at Veszprém between 29th June and 7th July, 1985. These are:- Problems of re-restoration, with particular regard to damages caused by acts of aggression (i.e. vandalism, theft), by elemental disasters and/or by improper storage.- Round-table conference: Present situation and problems of restorers' and conservators' training; comparisons, practices, methodologies.- Miscellaneous themes: Techniques and results of scientific examinations. The lectures belonging to the first two subjects of the conference (i.e. Common responsibilities and tasks of the restorer, scientist and museologist in storing and exhibiting the objects of art, with particular regard to the problems of exhibit installations and show-cases; Questions relating to the treatment of mural paintings and mural painting fragments discovered during excavations; conservation in situ and removal; restoration and reconstruction; approaches to display and storage) can be found in the 14th volume of "Műtárgyvédelem".
