The Film Library of Microfilms Made of the Matériái of the Hungárián National Archives This volume is intended for giving Information on microfilms made of the matériái of the Hungárián National Archives and kept in the Film Library of the Archives. This volume comprises all fonds and divisions which have been filmed in full, as well as those of which only parts have been filmed, but where such parts may be of interest in themselves owing to their nature. The volume lays down the state of the Film Library as of January 1, 1972. This volume is a thematic summary inventory. It is thematic because it gives information not on the entire matériái of the Film Library, but only of its part defined thematically, i.e. on the microfilms made of the matériái of the Hungárián National Archives. It is a summary inventory, because it gives this information on the summary inventory levél, i.e. on the levél of the fonds and divisions. In accordance with its summary inventory character it presents - in addition to the title of the archivál fond or division - the period of the filmed division or part of division, and their archivál division and system at the time of filming. The extent of the division or part of division is given by the number of the shots and reels. The structure of the thematic summary inventory follows the arrangement of the originál matériái. We have indicated the titles of sections as principal headings in spaced-out type, and have underlined the titles of archives twice, the titles of fonds once. The titles of divisions and parts of divisions are not underlined. In cases where the arrangement of the archivál matériái, the connexion or separation of items cannot be expressed by the typing method employed, we have used a separation mark /resolution mark/made up of 9 members. An item separated by mark = = does not belong to the archives, an item separated by mark - - does not belong to the fond, and an item separated by mark . . does not belong to the preceding divisio n. If the film does" not contain the entire division, this is indicated by "-R" standing after the title of the fond or division in the heading.
