22 R. E. Németh APPENDIX Catalogue of the wheel models from the collection of the Mures County Museum2 1. Tärgu Mures-Ceíaíe; (PL 1/5), S 23, site grid A-C/l-3, depth: 1.30-1.45 m, from the dark brownish layer, 2007. Wheel with an axle on a side, on the other side is broken. The edges of the wheel are slightly thickened. The artefact is tempered with fine sand and mica. It has a brown­­greyish colour as a result of the secondary burning, it is superficially burnished and rudimentary crafted. In several spots the fingerprint of the craftsman is also visible. Dimensions: diam. wheel: 6.2 cm; diam. axle: 1.3 cm; Inv. no. 8761. Dating: Bronze Age / Early Iron Age? 2. Tärgu Mures-Ceíaíe (PI. 4/22), C33, site grid 0-1 m, from the context filling. Wheel without axle, tempered with fine sand, having a red-brownish colour, very well burnished. The wheel was found fragmentary, on one side small fragments are lacking. Dimensions: diam. wheel: 5.4 x 5.8 cm; diam. hole: 0.3 cm; Inv. no. 8762. Dating: Bronze Age / Early Iron Age? 3. Tärgu Mures-Ceíaíe (Pl. 4/23), excavation of AI. Bogdan, 1960s. Wheel without an axle, made of clay, tempered with fine sand and mica, good burnished. It has a brick-red colour on one side, and brown-reddish on the other side as a result of a secondary burning. Dimensions: diam. wheel: 6.9 x 6.7 cm; diam. hole: 0.9 cm; Inv. no. 8763. Dating: Bronze Age / Early Iron Age? 4. Tärgu Mures-Cetate (PI. 3/16), 2009, C31, depth: 170 cm. Wheel without an axle, made of clay, tempered with fine sand and very small pebbles, average burnished. It has a greyish colour, ft has also secondary burning traces. It is decorated on one side with successive incision marks placed in a spiral formation. Dimensions: diam. wheel: 4.2 x 4.7 cm; diam. hole: 0.5 cm; Inv. no. 8764. Dating: Wietenberg culture 5. Tärgu Mures-Ceíaíe (Pl. 2/13), 2007, C17A, from the context filling. Fragmentary wheel with a rudimentary axle on one side. Made of clay, tempered with fine sand, mica and crushed shard, average burnished. It has a brownish-reddish­­greyish colour, having also traces of secondary burning. Dimensions: diam. wheel: 4.8 cm; diam. hole: 0.4 cm; Inv. no. 8765. Dating: Bronze Age / Early Iron Age? 6. Tärgu Mures-Ceíaíe (Pl. 1/3), 2007, C20; depth: 0.45-0.50 m, from the blackish soil used for levelling. Fragmentary wheel with pronounced conical axles. It is made of clay, tempered with fine sand, well burnished. It has a brown-greyish colour, with secondary burning traces. Dimensions: diam. hole: 0.5 cm; Inv. no. 8766.
