IT IS NOT A CENTURY BUT IT IS WORTH IT The congregation in front of the Calvin United Church of Christ in 1987 Page 4 Turning the clock back a hundred years we find the First Hungarian Church in Bridgeport, then located on Pine Street. Today it is the First United Church of Christ and is in a new building on Clinton Avenue. A century ago the congregation of this church decided to establish a Sunday School in Fairfield. Mrs. Annette Fiske, in memory of her father Asa, donated a piece of property on kINGS highway for reli­gious work. The newly organized Sunday School was housed in a vacant building she owned just behind the donated lot. The School in a few months grew very fast and when it reached the attendance of The old church building
