MAGYAR CG/flAZ 11. oldal of the Committee for Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs of the National Conference of Catholic Bishops. * * * The second part of my report is in reference to the continuation of the Consultation. The Area Council last year approved a recommendation by which it 1) invites the Bishops’ Committee of Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs to join in the continuance of this Consultation, 2) asks the U.S. member churches to support it, 3) authorize the Administrative Committee, or a special committee appointed by the Administrative Committee for this purpose, to work out the details of a proposed Round IV. The Bishops’ Committee has agreed to the continuation. Prior to the last meeting of the Consultation in September, 1979, an ad hoc Planning Committee of our group suggested Church and State as the basic theme for Round IV. The areas to be explored would range from separation of Church and State and interpretation of the First Amendment, to religious liberty. The Roman Catholics accepted this basic theme. The standing Steering Committee of the Consultation will work out the details. President McCord, who has always participated at the Steering Committee meetings, has already invited Bishop Unterkoefler to Princeton for this working session. Round IV could begin in the Spring or Fall of 1981. In the course of our work on the Consultation in these past many years, we have learned the joy of marching together on the road toward Christian unity. We have often marched in sunshine, on smooth roads, with clear vision. The road, however, can also be rough, with potholes, roadblocks, or road constrruction; — the road may be slippery at times, there may be fog, rain, even lightning once in a while. None of these should stop us, however, because while we march on these roads of variable quality ours is also the one and only Way, Jesus Christ the Lord. This Way assures our ultimate safe arrival. Dr. Andrew Harsányt Summer camp for young people The Calvin Synod and our church will again sponsor the united youth camp for young people, teenagers, from July 19 to 26, in the beautiful Laurel Mountains (Ligonier, Penna. area). Our church leaders and youth advisors, as well as our young men and women are asked to make preparations for a wonderful summer experience in this camp. The schedule of activities and the detailed program for one day and the whole week will be ready soon and will be mailed to every church. Therefore, we ask the youth to have some fund raising projects to cover the travel costs and to help 1979 Summer Youth Camp participants from Allen Park, Mich, and Windsor, Ont. Mr. A. Faragó, Mrs. Amy Kulcsár, Mr. Andrew Szabó and young people. defray the total cost of the week in the camp, which should be around $75 per person. Churches coming from neighboring cities may combine their forces and charter a mini-bus, or come by car-pools. The camp director will be Rev. Dr. and Mrs. Medgyesi, and the associate camp director Rev. Louis Illés. Some of our pastors have already promised to attend the camp, and others are making plans for summer vacations to include the camp. Some of last year’s camp pictures are printed in the Magyar Egyház. 1979 Summer Youth Camp participants from Jersey. Bert Bartha, Diana Csipke, Priscilla Jenkins and Rev. Steve Török.
