The officers and elders of the congregation wish ouf members a blessed and peaceful new year. The following organizations made generous Christmas donations to the church: Ladies Aid Society $6,000.00, Dorcas Guild $1,500.00, Golden Circle $1,000.00, Sunday School $1,000.00, Men’s Guild $750.00, also for the purchase of a school bus the Dorcas Guild and Ladies’ Aid Society each gave $750.00, and the Sunday School $200. The New Year’s Eve dinner dance was an outstanding success: thanks and appreciation to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Booth and those who helped and participated. The Rt. Rev. Louis Nagy, Superintendent of our Bethlen Home, will conduct the annual “orphanage Sunday” on January 26th, when he shall be our guest minister. The annual congregational meeting and election of new officers and elders is scheduled for Sunday, February 2nd. Statistics: baptisms: Jennifer Lynn King, daughter of Robert Edward King and Carol Hendry, on December 1st; Robert E. Lee Culpepper IV, son of R. E. Culpepper III and Karen Ruth Gassmann on December 27th. May God bless the children and their loved ones. Last year eight children were baptized, 18 married, seven received into the membership of the church, and 27 of our members died. More detailed report will be given in the next issue. The size of Christmas congregations exceeded those of last year, so did the amount of Christmas donations even taking inflation into consideration. Caroling Youth Fellowship members visited sixty-four homes on three evenings. The Lorantffy Society re-elected their officers for another year. About 50 “white gifts”, brought up to the Sunday School Christmas Day by the children, were turned over to the Salvation Army in time for Christmas distribution. On January 4, the Sunday School took a bus trip to Radio City Music Hall in New York to view its Christmas Program. Vital statistics for 1974: baptized 4, confirmed 8, married 4 couples, buried 7. Preliminary financial statement: $46,693 receipts, $44,502 expenses. At Christmas services the Pastor remembered the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Hungarian Reformed Church in America. DUQUESNE, PA. During the Christmas holidays 190 members of our congregation did partake of Holy Communion, including the sick and shut-ins. The congregational meeting for the year 1975 will be held on January 26th, combined with the regular January fellowship dinner. Officers and new council members will be elected and sworn in. Beginning with Ash Wednesday, every Wednesday during Lent vesper services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Lenten communion will be observed on the first Sunday in Lent, February 16th. McKeesport, pa. Our Annual Congregational Meeting is scheduled for January 26 after a combined service at 10:00 a.m. (2nd call). The Ladies donated $8,000.00 toward the Building Fund at Christmas. With a previous donation their gift for the church in 1974 totalled $9,000.00. Our Women’s Guild with this accomplishment set a good example for hard work and success. The Women’s Guild had an after- Christmas Party with dinner-meeting on January 14, at Chef Paul’s. Steven D. Balogh and K. Andrew Gondocz from our church attained the Dean’s list for the fall term at McKeesport Campus, Penn State University. Baptism: Matthew John, the son of John and Linda Horvath was baptized in our church on December 22. Godparents are Judy Bittner and Bennett Berkowitz. Funeral: Mr. Michael F. Bartos, 71,. died on January 8; the funeral service in our church was held on January 11. PERTH AMBOY, N. J. Our first words in our report couldn’t be anything else than the words of thanks to Almighty God for this new year, and to wish a Happy and Blessed New Year to all our readers, their families and friends. Since January is the time when everyone reflects upon the past year, we will do the same. However, we must first give a report on the past month of December since it was the busiest month in the short time our new pastor served in the congregation. Our church attendance according to some of the church council members was the highest in comparison with the previous years. Our church was full with people worshipping God and the Godchild of Christmas, Jesus. The big question remains, however, did this Christmas change our lives? Participation in the Holy Communion was satisfactory. During the English service, 347 participated in the Lord’s Supper, while during the Hungarian service, 162 members took Holy Communion. Other memorable occasions in our church were: the dedications of memorial Bibles in the memory of late Mr. Joseph Seemann, dedicated by his grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kauffmann and children Richard, Thomas and Nancy. Our grateful appreciation and thanks for this most fitting memorial placed in each pew of our church. Also on December 22, Sunday,
