MAGYAR EGYHÁZ 15 MAGYAR EGYHÁZ wishes all its readers a blessed Christmas Season and a happy peaceful New A ear.-s/, -sy ^-s/-- sy. sy- -yy- ^ -NEWS FROM THE CONGREGATIONS AKRON, OHIO Our Sunday School will present its Christmas program on December 20th, 7 p.m. Our Choir will participate in our Candlelight service. The time of our Hungarian Christmas Eve service is 6:30 p.m., the English service starts at 7 p.m. on December 24, 1970. On Christmas Day we will hold a Hungarian Holy Communion service at 9:30 a.m. and an English Holy Communion service at 11 a.m. Wedding: John Sherwood and Kathleen Herczeg, on December 5th, in our church. Witnesses were James Sherwood and Yolanda Flower. Funeral: Mrs. John Druga, 79, from our church on Dec. 8, 1970. She was the mother of our councilman John Kato. May God bless her memory among us. BETHLEHEM, PA. The annual congregational meeting will be on January 17 and 24, 1971. On December 31 we will have a New Year’s Eve party sponsored by the ladies of our church. Burial: Mrs. Rebecca Baranyai, 78, on November 19. CARTERET, N. J. The order of the Christmas Season Worship Services is as follows: Sunday School Christmas Service December 20 at 9:30; Christmas Eve services—Hungarian at 6:30, English (candlelight) at 8:00; Christmas Day communion services—English at 9:00, Hungarian at 11:00; December 26—Hungarian at 11:00; Sunday, December 27—English at 9:30, Hungarian at 11:00; New Year’s Eve—bilingual at 7:00; New Year’s Day—bilingual at 11:00. Two break-ins in November—one in the church and the other in Bethlen Hall—brought no “results” (that is money) for the burglars but several hundred dollars damage to the church. The Lorantfy Society donated the proceeds from a sausage-sale to the Hungarian flood relief. The amount was $370. DETROIT-ALLEN PARK, MICHIGAN The Pancake Breakfast and Christmas Card Party given by the Senior Youth Fellowship was an immense success. The proceeds will be used to help defray the trip to the National B.Y.F. Conference in 1971. The Sunday School will put on their Annual Christmas Program on December 20. The children will tell the Christmas story in plays, songs and poetry. Santa Claus will distribute gifts through the graciousness of the Ladies Aid Society. Schedule of worship services in the Christmas Season: December 18, Friday 7 p.m. Advent vespers, bilingual, with communion for those who cannot participate on Christmas Day. Christmas Eve worship service, (candlelight service) at 7:30 p.m. representatives of the different church organizations are participating in the liturgy. On Christmas Day, 9:30 a.m. Hungarian, at 11 a.m. English worship service, with communion. Saturday, December 26th, Hungarian Worship at 11 a.m. Watchnight service on December 31, 7:30 p.m., bilingual. New Year’s Day, Hungarian at 11 a.m. The annual Christmas Program of our Sunday School was presented on December 13th. Santa Claus came to visit the children, after “The Characters of Christmas Speak” play was presented by the students and teachers. Members of the Junior Youth Fellowship baked cookies for the Hungarian members of our congregation for Christmas present. Our organ committee completed its research. A letter will be sent to the members of the congregation containing the recommendation of the committee. The final decision to purchase the organ will be made by the Annual Congregational Meeting, on January 31, 1970. McKeesport, pa. Christmas Worship Services are: Dec. 23 at 7:30 p.m. English Worship Service with Holy Communion, Dec. 24 at 7:00 p.m. Combined Worship Service, Dec. 25 at 9:30 a.m. English Worship Service with Holy Communion, at 11:00 a.m. Hungarian Worship Service with Holy Communion, Dec. 26 at 11:00 a.m. Hungarian Worship Service. Baptism: David Joseph Orris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Orris received the sacrament of baptism. Godparents are: Harry McManus and Miss Kathleen Appleton. May God’s blessings be upon all of them. Many of our members lived with the elements of the Lord’s Supper on New Wine Holy Communion Sunday. Let us
