MAGYAR EGYHÁZ 19 After the service we held the annual Elizabeth Day dinner. Once more Mrs. Adam Hohvarl and her son, James Hohvart donated everything toward the dinner. We thank them for their generosity. The members of the congregation will be notified in the Living Church of the start of our Christmas services. Before Christmas, as in the past years, our carolers will visit the homes of our church members. The dates will also be in the Living Church. On November 24th, the interested members of the churches which take part in our Radio Broadcast met in our hall and together we celebrated the 1st anniversary of th is service. On November 24th, during the English service we baptized Joseph Michael, son of Eugene Carson and his wife, Margaret Ann Phillips. DETROIT-ALLEN PARK The newly elected CYF officers already busy with their respective duties are Ron Silye, president, Judy Molnár, vice president, Sandy Ponto, secretary (13301 Peach, Southgate, Mich., 48192), Betty Savel, treasurer, and Cheri Nagy, historian. Assistant officers are Helen Fazekas, secretary, and David Ambrus, treasurer. Sponsors for this year are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hollis, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Antel, and Mr. and Mrs. William Nagy. For the last two months most of our energy has been channeled into Christmas craft-making. Our completed decorations will be given as prizes for our annual Christmas Card Party to be held December 3. Members who gathered at the Antel home on October 27 went on a scavenger hunt for various materials for their crafts. Some of the decorations made were macaroni and pine cone wreaths. Christmas trees were constructed of colorful net, and ornaments of satin balls and sequins. In the past our card party proved to he our most successful project of the year, and judging from the cooperation of the members and parents this year, it looks as if our 1968 Card Party will he no exception. DUQUESNE Our newly-organized Junior Youth Fellowship elected its officers for the year 1969. President: Denise Danes, vice-president: Joni Seman, secretary: Karen Sabo, treasurer: Andrew Peclet, program chairman: Deborah Cheke. This group will also participate in caroling in the Christmas Season. Several other projects are planned for the following year. Bazárunk tiszta bevétele meghaladta az 1,300 dollárt. Egyháztanácsunk határozata alapján tégla előcsarnokot építtettünk gyülekezeti termünk oldalbejárata fölé. Vasárnapi iskolásaink és ifjúsági énekkarunk készül a december 22-i gyertyafény-szolgálatra. Gyülekezeti énekkarunk számára új énekkari ruhákat vásároltunk a Fellowship Circle ajándékaként. December 25-én, karácsony napján délelőtt 9 óra 30 perckor tartunk magyar, 11 órakor angolnyelvű istentiszteletet; mindkettőt úrvacsoraosztással. December 14-én népes gyülekezet előtt eskettük meg egyházunk kántorát, Race Connie Lee-1 és Marhevsky Andrew Michael-t. November 6-án temettük el Gábor Györgyné testvérünket, aki az Első Magyar Református Egyház tagja volt. ALLIANCE, OHIO MAGYAR REFORMÁTUS EGYHÁZ Beszolgáló lelkész: Dömötör Tibor Gondnok: Máté József Templom: 836 Cambridge Street Az elmúlt hónap legkiemelkedőbb eseménye a beszolgáló lelkész tiszteletére rendezett ünnepi vacsora volt november 24-én délután. Az ünnepi vacsorán a gyülekezet minden egyes tagja megjelent. Vendégekként jelen voltak az akroni gyülekezetből Varga Edward gondnok feleségével, Mező István presbiter feleségével és Nagy Imréné. Dömötör Tibor beszolgáló lelkész megható szavakkal mondott köszönetét a gyülekezet hűségéért, szeretetéért és áldozatkész szolgálatáért. Máté József gondnok ismertette az elmúlt tíz esztendő munkásságát, mely nem nagy dolgokban, hanem a kevesen való hűségben és a ránk bízottak megtartásában mutatkozott meg. November 25-én eltemettük Baranyai Józsefné testvérünket, aki rövid kórházi betegség után adta vissza hűséges lelkét Teremtőjének. December 22-én, délután 2 órakor tartja a gyülekezet karácsonyi ünnepi istentiszteletét, melyen az Úr szent vacsorája is kiszolgáltatásra kerül. Gyülekezetünk jegyzőjének, Id. Éltető Lajosnak gyermekei tanulmányúton vannak, Ifj. Éltető Lajos és felesége a kolozsvári egyetemen, Éltető Áron pedig a budapesti egyetem orvosi karán.
