AHMED PAŞA was son of Mevlâna Veliyüddin, kazasker of Sultan Murád II (1421-1451). He was born in Edirne, and grew up in Bursa. He received the recognition of Sultan Mehmed II (1451-1481) and came to the Palace. For some time, he fell out of grace with the ruler and was sent to Bursa. However, when Sultan Beyazid II (1481-1512) ascended to the throne, he was given the title of paşa and appointed to vali of Bursa. He died there. The manuscript begins in the middle of the Kaside der-medh-i Hazret-i Emir Seyyid Sultan (la). After it continues with Der-medh-i Şeyh Taceddin (lb), Der-medh-i Şeyh Vefa (2a), Kaside-i ... der-şehr-i Edirne (3b), Kaside-i güneş (7b), Kaside-i misk (12b), Kaside-i kâkül (14a) and Kaside-i Kerem (20a), and is followed by Gazeliyat. It ends with a kit 'a and some beyit s. The copy was made by Yakub b. Yahya in Ramazan 937/April 1531 (105b) in Edime. 175
