Volumes I-VIII are marked with the Chinese trigramme names qian, kan, gen, zhen, sun, li, kun and du i and with their Manchu equivalents: kulun, lifan, ilixen, assan, dosin, eldexen, da%asun and urgun jen. In the last two volumes, the fascicles are marked with the same Chinese trigramme names as in the first eight volumes. Each volume has the title in Manchu and in Mongolian and the indication of the number of fascicles contained in these two languages; the title on a long label, the rest on a square label, both white, pasted on the yellow silk-covered cover, now partly damaged or missing. The title is given in Manchu, Mongolian, Tibetan, and Chinese, at the beginning of the text. An average page bears 12 entries; the Chinese word is repeated in Manchu transcription. The original cover of vol. I is now inside of a new one made of muutuu/maotou or maobian paper and holding the handwritten inscription in Chinese Siti hebi juan yi (as below) and Baoshantang (bookshop?). Mongol orthography with diacriticals for Г and N before vowels. Title on cover: Duyin %aan-i xergen qamä%a buleku bitxe . Dörben jüil-ün üsüg qabsuruysan toli biäg . kulun . qianjuan. Inscription on the square label of vol. 1: ujui debtelin-ci duyici debtelin-de isinaxabi . terigün debter-ece dötöger debter kürtele bui . [Chin.] qian [Chin, handwritten] yi ben\ information similarly arranged on the covers of vols. II-VIII. Inner title also in Tibetan and Chinese: Skad bzi san-sbyar-ba 7 me-loh-giyi-ge and Siti hebi wenjian = Si ti xe bi wen giyan (Chinese in Manchu transcription accompanying the Chinese characters); cf. here Man. 31. Uxeri xesen uju marginal title in Chinese: Wenjian zonggang. Title of vol. II bis: the same as in vols I-VIII in Manchu and Mongolian, with Uxeri xesen fejergi . bügüde-yin tobäy-a . door adu., marginal title in Chinese: Zonggang xiajuan.
