II. Duka Tivadar munkálkodása - 4. S. C. Maian levelei Duka Tivadarhoz

58 7. The Vicarage, Broadwindsor, Dorset. June 6th, 1884. My dear Sir In answer to your letter, I can not find anything in the books I have about Betieder a which, in face of it, must be a mistake. It is neither Tibetan nor anything else I fear, as it stands in print on your sheet. I have made a few corrections in your transliteration p. 60. It may do as it is, although it would not be so pronounced in conversation. Csoma, however, would have al l letters transliterated altiíough many are left out in reading. I have resigned this living and shall leave in a few months. I find the work of so large a parish too much at my age; and I want rest. Believe me yours sincerely: S. C. Malan P. S. I should tlrnk you would find all necessary documents about this Betieder a at the Asiatic Society.
