The medieval roots of the built and landscape heritage of peasant vineyards, the remnants of viniculture from the 18 t h Century and the built and natural heritage of the 18 t h-19 t h Century wine-press houses are introduced he­PEASANT VINEYARDS re. The narration from the available resources provides additional information to unveiling valid heritage, in order to have the notions introduced here, turn intő memories of key importance. Despite our fragmented knowledge it is possible to learn about the traditional culture and landscape use of the vineyards in this small­region, and once it becomes conscious beyond the indi­vidual value of cultural elements, it can play a crucial role in the sustainable development of this disadvan­taged region. 256
