This was a complex task, as the restoration and conservation problems of several materials had to be addressed simultaneously. In cleaning, surface dirt was removed with surface-active material and earlier glue marks by swabbing with solvent. The broken pieces were glued with a polyester derivative. Small chips on the statue and clock case were filled with epoxy resin. Negative impressions were taken for missing brass appliqués and epoxy moulds prepared. Liquid acrylic and solvent gold painting were used to retouch the surfaces. The question of restoring the alabaster statue was very important because the preparation of replacement pieces was not warranted structurally. Nor was their absence visually distracting. The base stones were accurately determined by instrumental examination and replacement pieces can easily be added at a later date. BEVEZETÉS Az antik órák különleges daraboknak számítanak az iparművészeti tárgyak között, hiszen egyszerre mechanikus szerkezetek és egyben különleges művészeti alkotások. Ebből a furcsa ellentétből adódik varázsuk. Restaurálásuk összetett feladat, mert egy tárgyon belül több anyagfajtával találkozunk. A helyreállítás során ezeket külön kell kezelnünk, de a végén, amikor összeépítjük őket, együtt adják vissza az órák egyedi egységét. 1 tartozik. Kora a XIX. század első felére tehető. A tárgy fő eleme a szögletes két részre szétbontható szürke erezetű márvány óratok, öntött sárgaréz lábakkal, rozetta, levél, női fej alakú ráté1 Leltári száma: Sí. 72. 41. 435
