Cryptocephalus frontalis Marsham, 1802 HUNGARY — Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county: Bükk, Rejtek, 10. Vu. 1983, PA. Distribution in the Carpathian Basin: Rare species, distributed on mountainous areas of the territory. Its food plants are Populus tremula L. and Betula pubescens Ehrh. General distribution: Europe, Siberia. Cryptocephalus fulvus (Goeze, 1777) HUNGARY — Fejér county: Vértes, Kőhányás-puszta, 25.VIII.1974, PA [10]; Veszprém county: Bakony, Bakonyszűcs, 25.VIII.1978, PA; Fenyőfő, 22.VII.1978, OA [4], 16.IX.1979, PA; Márkó, 8.VII.1978, PA; Zala county: Keszthelyi-hg., Pörkölt-hegyek, 28.VIII.1977 [4], 23.VII. 1978, OA [2]. Distribution in the Carpathian Basin: Not so rare on the dry grassy slopes of the Great Plain and lower hilly areas. It feeds on various plants, mainly on Artemisia and Achillea species. General distribution: Mid and South Europe, Asia Minor, South Siberia, North China, Korea, Japan. Cryptocephalus gamma Herrich-Schäffer, 1829 HUNGARY — Pest county: Apajpuszta, 28.V. 1973, PA [22]. Distribution in the Carpathian Basin: Distributed on the Great Plain. Locally may be very frequent on saline fields on Artemisia santoniCumh. General distribution: Southeastern Europe, Caucasus, Kazakhstan, Western Siberia. 39
