Gyűjteménytörténet, muzeológia - Bene János: Beszámoló jelentés a Jósa András Múzeum és tagintézményei (Sóstói Múzeumfalu, Kállay Gyűjtemény) 2014. évi tevékenységéről

BeneJános Report on the activity of the Jósa András Museum and its member institutions (Sóstó Village Museum and Kállay Collection) in 2014 Museum has completed the expectancies - this is true for the year 2014 more than usually. We consider the affairs of the museum to be the affairs of the society: we produced values and transmitted them to the public interested in the museum starting from the youngest generation up to the elder ones - we serve this community. We created and transmitted traditions in the form of objects, images, training and in a virtual way. Keeping in mind local values, we made more colourful the town and museum programs with our exhibitions and events. To-date the Jósa András Museum, the Sóstó Village Museum and Kállay Collection became the inevitable element of the county and town cultural life. We are part of the common knowledge, trying to meet the expectancies for the 21st century museums, to serve the public on high level, to fulfil our plans. In 2014 we finished several of our large domestic and international projects; two TÁMOP (Social Renewal Operational Programme) projects: Tirpák (Slovakian minority) traditions (TAMOP-3-2-13, Sóstó Village Museum); Treasures of the Jósa András Museum (Jósa András Museum). In the frames of the HURO Cult-Tour project, a cross-border cooperation programme, an archaeological park demonstrating the rural life in the Árpád Age (11th-13th cc.) was built in the Sóstó Village Museum; the second construction phase of the estate granary from Újléta was finished in the same site; the Bessenyei memorial exhibition in Tiszabercel was renovated; new exhibitions were opened in the cellar of the Mudrány Manor in Szabolcs and listed church of Papos. In the frames of the TIOP (Social Infrastructure Operational Programme) a 160 sq.m large school subject depository in the Jósa András Museum project was completed. We managed to complete our programs planned in our institutions, opened our exhibitions. We ran all our domestic and international projects according to the plans and prepared projects for 2015. Four large chapters of the report on the activity overview the work of the Jósa András Museum and its member institutions in 2014. In this year 121 publications (16 on archaeology, 18 on ethnography, 17 on history and 70 on public education), 13 independent volumes and booklets were published by our colleagues. We arranged 68 temporary exhibitions in Hungary and abroad. In this year our museums were visited by 108,532 people including 47,575 students.
