A multilevel settlement at village Baranincy/Baranya 0.26 m deep, the western one was 0.22 m. In the dark grey fill some ceramic fragments were found, that, on the basis of their technological features, belong to the Gáva Culture. Feature 5, square Д-5, square E-5 (fig. 7). A 0.4 m deep round pit, the diameter of which was 1.2 m. The walls were steep, the bottom was even. Fragments of a pseudo-Villanova urn (pi. IX: 7-8) and a grinding stone were found in the fill. Feature 7, square Ж-l (fig. 2). An irregular, rectangular pit directed north-west-southeast. Only the south-eastern part of the feature was investigated, the north-western one continued under the wall of the square. The sides of the pit were steep, the bottom was even. The pit was 0.22 m deep from the ancient surface. In the dark grey fill fragments of a black smoothed storage vessel with a small handle-knob (pi. X: 1) and pieces of a dipper were found (pi. X: 3). Feature 8, square E-l, square Э-l (fig. 2). An irregular oval, 1.4x1 m large pit oriented north-east-south-west. The northern part of the pit reached the depth of 0.45 m, the south-western one - 0.26 m. In the fill fragments of pottery, pieces of plastering, charcoal were found. Among the expressive forms a fragment of a dipper's handle can be mentioned (pi. X: 2). Feature 9, square E-3-4 (fig. 2). Round pit with gently sloping walls and even bottom (diameter: 1.2 m, depth: 0.32 m). The fill consists of dark grey humus, in which fragments of Gáva amphorae and pieces of plastering were found (pi. XI: 2-4). Feature 11, square Г-1, 2; square Д-1, 2 (fig. 2). Oval, 1.0x0.6 m large pit with pear shaped cross-section. In its upper part the walls were steep, in the lower part they widened towards the bottom. The pit was 0.9 m deep. The fill was full of numerous pottery finds. These are bowls with everted (pi. XII: 3, 5) and inverted rim the edge of which sometimes is decorated by a braided ornament (pi. XII: 6), pots of simple and tulip shape (pi. XII: 1-2, 4). Animal bones were also found in this feature. Feature 13, square Б-2, 3, square B-2 (fig. 2). Household round pit with steep walls and even bottom. Diameter: 0.8 m, depth: 0.73 m. In the fill scattered fragments of Gáva pottery were found. Summarising the results of the analysis of the material collected at the Gáva horizon, we have to assume that it can be attributed to the beginning phase of this cultural community.
