Data to the fauna of the horse-fly and soldier-fly (Diptera: Tabanidae, Stratiomyidae) of the protected area of the Boronka Region

270 TÓTH SÁNDOR SÁNDOR TÓTH: DATA TO THE FAUNE OF THE HORSE-FLY AND SOLDIER-FLY (DIPTERA: TABANIDAE, STRATIOMYIDAE) OF THE PROTECTED AREA OF THE BORONKA REGION Resume The author - on behalf of Levente Ábrahám, manager of the Department of Natural Science of Museums of Somogy County, Kaposvár) had analyzed the dipterous insects living in the Protected Area of Boronka District between 1989-1991. The aim of his work was to explore the Syrphidae and Tachinidae faunas of the region (Tóth 1992b, 1992c), but besides he made collections of several other species of the Dipterals. Among these a study has been published dealing with mosquitoes (Culicidae), horse-gnats (Tipulidae), pond-gnats (Limoniidae), bee flies (Bombyliidae), swod fies (Therevidae) and headed flies (Conopidae) (Tóth 1992a, 1992d). This work publishes the faunistical data of the Horsefly (Tabanidae) and Soldier-fly (Stratiomyidae) collected in the Protected Area. These groups have not been collected before (not even published) on the area, so the mentioned groups all count as new ones in the fauna of the region. Among the 64 taxons 25 Horse-fly and 21 Soldierfly were detected. Many of the dipterals are wide spread and frequent, but relatively there are many rare ones among them in spite of the low species number. The Allognosta vagans Loew (Stratiomydae) is one of those whose Hungarian report - involving the first Hungarian locality and date - is from the Protected Area of Boronka region, from Hosszúvíz. Another important result is the presence of Silvius alpinus Scop. (Tabanidae) as the species is know from the highlands. Some more remarkable species: Hybomitra bimaculata Macq., Hybomitra nitidifrons confiformis Chvala-Moucha, Hybomitra solstitialis Meig., Tabanus spectabilis Loew, Haematopota scutallata Ols. (Tabanidae). Chorisops tibialis Meig., Oxycera nigricornis Oliv., Pachygaster leachi Curt. (Stratiomydae). neu für diesen Landteil Ungarns. Im Gebiet dominieren die allgemeinen verbreiteten, überall vorkommenden Arten, doch sind auch mehrere interessanten Arten zu verzeichnen: Silvius alpinus (Scopoli, 1763) , Hybomitra bimaculata (Macquart, 1826), Hybomitra nitidifrons confiformis Chvála-Moucha, 1971, Hybomitra solstitialis (Meigen, 1820), Tabanus spectabilis Loew, 1858, Haematopota scutellata (Olsufjev, Moucha-Chvála, 1964), Allognosta vagans (Loew, 1873), Chorisops tibialis (Meigen, 1820), Oxycera nigricornis Olivier, 1812, Pachygaster leachi (Curtis, 1824).
