K.: Lithic Implements of Gór, NW Hungary: Evidences of stone casting moulds production: Preliminary Results = In: Herz ed., Asmosia HI (1996) 51-56. Gór is a recently excavated large site with several periods, the most notable among them, a fortified Late Bronze Age-Early Iron Age settlement with a number of stone casting moulds. This paper deals with the analyses of These moulds and argues for local production and multiple casting. The raw material of the moulds, especially the multiple casting moulds, comes of distant sources. Thin section microscopy and SEM are used for the study of the moulds and chemical processes caused by casting. Biró Т.
