Data to the Diptera fauna of the Juniper Woodland of Bares, Hungary MÁRIA CSIBY Regular dipterological research has been carried out since 1975 in the Juniper Woodland of Bares covering an area of some 3400 ha. On this acidic sandy terrain particularly interesting plant communities have developed. It is not surprising that the attention of zoologists has also been aroused, The author has been carrying out collectings since 1978 in the area, concentrating mainly on Diptera. This contribution is dealing with the results achieved after elaboration of some small Diptera families. She concludes that the Diptera fauna of the Juniper Woodland of Bares is comparatively poor, but at the same time many fly species prevailing there are rare in Hungary. 156
