Botka János: A Komlósd-temető melletti löszfal malakofaunájának vizsgálata

Botka János: A Komlósd-temető melletti löszfal malakofaunájának vizsgálata JÁNOS BOTKA OBSERVATION OF THE MALACOFAUNA OF LOESS-WALL NEXT TO CEMETERY OF KOMLÓSD SUMMARY The author has been observing for several years the loess-holes which were excavated by the Dráva situated in the surroundings of Bares and it has a very strongly grounded surface. The excavation in Komlósd shows the new deposits in the area between the plains of the Dráva and the Inner part of Somogy county. The sand and loess formations were taken shape in climatical and weather conditions of the last ice age - the Wurm. We can conclude that, not only the eolic dust, but also the river deposits played an important part in forming the environment at that time. Knowing the demands of the here found species, we can also conclude that climate was cool, but changeably wet, the vegetation is like in the steppe, sometimes with forests. The diagram clearly shows the changes in the conditions of existence for the mollusca fauna and the parallel fluctuation of entity numbers. 116
