THE JOURNAL MAGYAR MŰHELY AND ITS REACHING POINTS WITH THE PETŐFI LITERARY MUSEUM

Pál Nagy, one of the founding editors of the journal Magyar Műhely in Paris (the first number was published in 1962), was born in Salgótarján, and Mihály Praznovszky, who plays the other leading role in my essay, was also born there, both of them have strong attachment to their homeland. Assigning the category from the set theory, their common segment is located in the Petőfi Literary Museum. Mihály Praznovszky was the general director of this central institution of the Hungarian literary museology between 1993 an 2000. The Magyar Műhely has functioned as a literary, artistic and critical journal and the forum for the publication of contemporary literature and experimental fine arts albums. The documents, manuscripts of Magyar Műhely has become the part of the museum’s collection.
