TANULMÁNYOK - TERMÉSZETTUDOMÁNY - Hír János: Beszámoló a Pásztói Múzeum által szervezett 2008. évi őslénytani ásatások eredményeiről
Remarks to the fossil rodents of Litke 2. Spermophüinus besanus CUENCA-BESCOS, 1988 Litke 2 is the first occurence of the species in the Carpathian Basin. Other occurences of the species in Austria is Mühlbach (MN 5] (DAXNER-HÖCK 2003} and in Greece Antonios (MN 4/ MNS) (VASILEIADOU & KOUFOS 2005). In Hungary the evolutionary line of the Spermophüinus species is represented by S. bredai in a series of Middle Miocene faunas, e.g. Hasznos (KORDOS 1981), Mátraszőlős (HÍR & KÓKAY 2004), Sámsonháza (HÍR & MÉSZÁROS (2002), Felsőtárkány -Felnémet 2/3, Felsőtárkány -Felnémet 2/7 (HÍR 2006), Felsőtárkány 1 (HÍR 2001), Felsőtárkány 3/2. (HÍR 2003). S. turolensis is known from Late Miocene assemblages, e.g. Egyházasdengeleg (MN 13) in Nógrád County (HÍR & MÉSZÁROS 1995). Miodyromys sp. The exact determination is not possible on the basis of the only tooth. We have a slightly more abundant Miodyromys molar series from Litke 1. The finds of the two localities seems to be identical. The small dimensions of the molars are difficult to value from systematic point of view. Cricetodon meini FREUDENTHAL, 1963 In the preliminary report on the first results of the excavation at Litke 1. the Cricetodon finds were described as C. meini -aureus group (HÍR 2007). Recently we have enough material for a statystical comparison of the mean dimensions of some European C. meini, C. aff meini, C. aff aureus, C. aureus populations (Fig. 7). After the results of this comparison we can classify the Cricetodon teeth from Litke 1-2 as C. meini. The biochronological conclusion of this determination is that the Litke 1-2 faunas can be classified as late MN 5 after the occurences of C. meini in the Swiss and German localities. Megacricetodon sp. 1. The dimensions and the morphology of the only molar refer to the corresponding characters of the Megacricetodon finds collected from Litke 1.Exact determination is possible after the study of statystic findmaterial. The species Megacricetodon collongensis and M. minor are possible candidates. Megacricetodon sp. 2. The dimensions of the molar exceed the range of the Megacricetodon M2 mate-
