THE ITINERARIES OF THE TWO ROZGONYIS, ISTVÁN SR. AND ISTVÁN JR. RICHÁRD SCHMIDTMAYER This study presents the itinerary of two famous nobles of the medieval Hungarian Kingdom. They both lived in the first half of the 15th century, and both of them had the same name (István Rozgonyi). István Rozgonyi Senior (13889-1440) was the count of the counties Győr (1422-1440), Fejér (1425-1440) and Ternes (1427-1438). István Junior (13889-1443) also held more counties, but the most important was the county of Pressburg. Since their names were the same, in some documents from the early decades of the 15th century, their identification is problematic: which one is mentioned, whether both of them were present, etc. However, the locations of the documents seem to solve this problem. Further, in certain cases the presence of both Rozgonyis can be reasonably assumed. The data of the itineraries are listed in two columns. The names of the settlements they both visited are listed in the middle of the page. At the end of the article, an index of places makes the search more comfortable.
