A. Pál Gabriella: New Celtic Finds from Komárom-Esztergom County
New Celtic Finds from Komárom-Esztergom County Gabriella A. Pál Two new burial-places have been found since the publication of the first volume of "Corpus of Celtic Finds in Hungary" in Komárom-Esztergom county (Tatabánya II. Erőmű /Poer Plant/, Homokbánya /Sans-pit/ and 15. Kis Str. Dunaalmás). Both graves were disturbed. The grave found in Tatabánya has the following furniture: iron hook (II. Table 5. picture), iron nut nail (II. 4.), iron fibula (II. 6.), fragment of an iron fibula spring (two pieces), fragment of an iron fibula (II. 2.), bronze chain fragments (II. 3.), bowl (II. 1., V. 1.), iron fibula (III. 3.) and corroded iron fragments. From the cemetery the following sporadic find came up: fragments of a bronze bracelet (III. 1., VI. 1.), bronze footlet (VI. 2.), urn (III. 4., V. 2.), fragments of a bowl (III. 5.), rim fragments, side fragments, small fragments of an "S"-profile bowl and other bowl fragments. According to the find the cemetery can be dated to LT CI period and can presumably be placed among the biritual cemeteries spreading along the LT Cl period and maybe during the LT C2 period as well. At 15 Kis Str. Dunaalmás a 10-12 year old boy's grave was found. The grave consists of the following goods: mug (IV. 1.), bronze wire fibula (IV. 2., VII. 2.), bronze wire fibula (IV. 3), amber ring (IV. 5.), bronze chain fragment (IV. 4.), fragments of an iron ring, fragments of an iron belt (VII. 1.). The grave furniture dates the grave to the LT C2 period. These two graves give additional materials to history of the Late Iron Age settlements in the county. The cemeteries, containing these graves, are connected to the rich grave goods of the territory dated to the LT C period. 139
