Összefoglalók
The real light cavalry in Hungary had been the Hussars, but not the classical light armed Hussars of the second half of the XVII. th, century. At this earlier time their weapons had been complex, made up from the arms of the knight age and also from the modern fire arm belonging to the modern tactics. While within this study the armament of the Turkish army cannot be enumerated, it can be said at least, that in the course of the 15 Years War their weakness had been revealed, that is their backwardness in the fire arm race. Vendel Kiss: The Portrayals of the Siege of Tata Summary The first individual graphics about the Tata castles had appeared under the 15 years war. These had been published as illustration of journals, leaflets or historical works. Six engravings out of the eight that had been published shows the May 23. rd, 1579 recapture of the castle. The interest generated by these pictures contributed to the fact that Tata has great number of engravings from the XVII. th, century.
