Lokális közösségek szerepe a ISTVÁN VADÁSZ The analysis has been created on the formation of the non-profit organisations (non-governmental organisations) in Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County based upon the data of their registration. It can be established that between 1989 and 2000 the number of organisations grew linearly. But around the turn of the millennium there was a considerable difference between the number of registrations and the number of actually working organisations. At the beginning of the diffusion process, one can see that it was an innovation that started very rapidly in 73 settlements out of the county's 78, because the organisations that had been in operation were re-registered. Concentrating on the actual new organisations, one can observe that the territorial and temporal acceptance of the innovation resembles to certain phases of a logistics graph. It is alsó clear that there have been several break-points during the process. In 2000, there were 15% more NGO's than in the first half of the 1990s. Altogether there were 1571 operating non-profit organisations (foundations, public foundations, változó társadalomban (Szerk.: Örsi Julianna, 119—132.), Túrkeve, 2004, 368. 2004b. It is typical that 13 settlements (all of them towns) hosted 70% (1093) of the totál number of NGO's in the county. To put it in different words, the territorial structure of the non-profit sector shows considerably strong territorial concentration. The average specific index is 3,8 organisations / 1000 residents, which lags behind the nationwide average. 19 settlements has above-average index. It is interesting to note that there are 7 small settlements in this group that pride themselves with the highest specific index of the county. Behind the surprisingly high figures, one can find a finely articulated staff of non-profit organisations in these 7 villages. In each case, the community-making role of a number of local personalities can be detected. It is alsó apparent that the non-profit sector is under continuous re-arrangement according to the structure of settlements. The share of 1% of income tax and the territorial distribution of somé nationwide applications alsó demonstrate this assumption.
