Tünde Horváth - Csilla Farkas LATE COPPER AGE FEATURES FROM SZIHALOM Cadastre of Heves County in the Late Copper Age Almost half of the sites in the cadastre come from surface collections or archeological observations, and the rest from excavations. Not one of the 50 sites yielded artefacts from both Baden Complex periods, the early Boleraz and the Classic Baden Period at the same place, although both periods involved areas with the same geographical features (flatlands, next to water). The Classic Baden sites (with two cave sites), however, also appear in mountainous areas, as opposed to the Boleraz sites, which suggests more extensive movement and mountain activities. There are more of these, compared to the earlier Boleraz sites. Most of these sites are located in Heves County, along the Zagyva, Tarna, Eger and Csincse rivers/ streams and their tributaries. This is still a flatland area. Such topographical locations are characteristic of the Baden Complex 92
