István Vadász The Regional Organisation of the Non-Profit Sector in Heves County During the course of the research for this study it became clear that the registration of non-profit organisations in Heves County, in common with other regions of the country, has increased enormously. It has been a continous growth. At the turn of the millennium, however, there was a considerable difference between the number of registrations and the number of active organisations. From the very beginning of the diffusion process what we see is the kind of innovation which manifested itself in 90 of the county's 118 settlements almost immediately, namely the re-registration of previously existing organisations. 645
