Of the 1520 organisations enumerated on average 14 were non-profit, although this varied considerably from settlement to settlement. It is typical that 5 places (all of them municipal) accounted for 57% of the county's civil organisations. In other words non-profit organisations were concentrated in certain areas. It is also clear that changes are continually going on in the non-profit sector, with settlements experiencing periods of flux. This is something that can be seen in the data for 1% voluntary tax contributions, and the regional breakdown for the winners of one of the national tenders. 646
