Kalla Gábor: Mezopotámia és a Kárpát-medence? A tartariai táblák történeti körülményei

118 GÁBOR KALLA MESOPOTAMIA AND THE CARPATHIAN BASIN? THE HISTORICAL CONDITIONS AROUND THE TARTAREAN PLATES It was 39 years ago that the Tartarean Plates surfaced, and up until quite recently it had seemed that they would be applicable for the purpose of cross-dating Mesopotamia and the Carpathian Basin. More recent excavations in Mesopotamia, Syria, and Anatolia, however, along with the reevaluation of the previous excavations, would question the reliability or validity of the historically based view outlined before. Thus, irrespective of the internal debates within the research of the Neolithic in Southern-Europe, the assumed system of relationships and the chronology based upon it appears to be arguable from the aspect of Mesopotamia.
