The exhibits in the last gallery are the so-called biedermeier glasses of the famous Bohemian glassware craft, which were very pop­ular in the 19th century as decorations of civic homes. These objects of neo-Gothic forms also reflect the characteristics of the crystal style. There are relatively few pieces of furniture in the exhibitions of the Déri Museum. They date back to the end of the 18th and the beginning of the 19th century. The Museum owns only one wardrobe with a double-door from the end of the 18th century. Its form shows the characteris­tics of the Baroque style, and classical motifs can be observed in its ornamentation. The other large-size piece of furniture is a writing-commode. We own some more pieces from this type of furniture, on the basis of which we can follow the changes and the development of this ward­robe-type from the end of the 18th century up to the first half of the 19th century. There are some chairs on the first floor, which also come from joineries in Debrecen around the middle of the 19th century. The European furniture-craft is represented by two pieces on the second floor. One of them is a large-sized double-door wardrobe, originating from the 17th century, which displays all the characteristics of German pieces of furniture in the Baroque style. It is a monumental double­door piece, ornamented with ledges and col­umns and equipped with lathe-turned ball-legs. As a whole, it shows almost architectural struc­turing.
