English Summary

At the end of XIX century after the blooming of XVIII —XIX century the bell-founding stops. Among bells being in this exhibition the earliest is a little one deriving from 1604 and on wich the decorations are finely worked numbers and let­ters. On the bell derived from 1668 beside the Latin inscription is a relief frieze showing the enrichment of decoration on bells in Baroque Age. Near the bells a great mortar is to be seen from 1670 decorated with blazon of Haller and Bethlen family and which was used for making of gun. The little bronzes from XVI —XVII century above the bells are fine cases of artistic use of bronzes. Among them the figure of Piace and of Roman fighter are probably from Venice, the equestrian statue of Aurelius Marcus also is linked with an Italian master of the XVI. century. The two Centaurs, the satyr beating boiler are made in Italian workshop in XVII. century while the satyr with bacchant derived from France of XVIII—XIX. century. LIST OF FIGURES 1. POPULAR CERAMICS About the Debrecen pottery going back to many age-old traditions the earlisst remark derived from 1617. Their charter of incorporation remained from 1715. Since second part of XVIII century we have a reach archivalia about history of the trade from which excel that in the end of XVIII cen­tury about 10 potters worked in Debrecen. Earliest vessels remained from this time. The golden age of Debrecen pottery lasted about 100 years long. In the second part of XIX century it gradually declined and it wasted away by the XX century entirely. The earliest object is from 1760 being the oldest product of clear glazed vessels. 421
