English Summary

It the begining of XIX. century the glazed decoration increased with a new technical solving: the autlines of motifs were set off by etching. The next style is the group of green glazed, embossed vessels. This style on the ornamental vessels was known all over the country. This is also showed by the decoration of material of the exhibition wich consists largely of so-called Lord's Table winepots and tradevessels. In the middle of XIX. century the etching appeares on the surface of green glazed vessels. By at present known material the red-brown glazed vessels belong to the latest group. From this group remained the most large-sized vessels being trade masterpiece without exception which is verified by signet F. C. stamped on vessels under the handles. The early objects are jugs with long pouring spout, among later mate­rial we can find also a pot. Beside the recognized decorations appeared a new motif, the cluster of grapes, mainly on the early objects. Among the exhibited objects vessels in the middle gallery the earliest is from 1826. The vessels remained from the second part of the century show the already mentioned characteristics. On the vessels of fourth style the decoration was made by painting. In an other glass-care are placed the figurái vessels. Beside the bear, lamb formed honeyedes, tobacco box known all over the country the hussar for­med pitchers with a narrow neck, the typical formed Jutka-jugs represent the figurái Debrecen ceramics. Among the products of Debrecen pottery the Chelsea bun framer placed in the second glass-care form an other group. The wood pieces were known all over the country, but only from Debre­cen remained they from sherd from middle and end of XIX. century. Mostly they were fancy articles, their surface were glazed first of all with green glazing and the name of maker and owner was written on their back. The vessels remained from seventies of XIX. century more and more show the declaine of artistic and technic level. In the end of XIX. century and be­ginning of XX. century lived and worked potters in Debrecen, but really they made simple objects of use. From among the so-called Middle-Tisza pottercities the most outstanding was the Mezőcsát city, here is seen some vessels of it quasi giving notice about relation with Debrecen. The Mezőcsát pottery created one of the highest artistic level styles of Hungarian peasant ceramics. The most popular vesselfigure is the so-called Miska-jug.. According to the ceramics history the Tiszafüred pottery is considered to be an Mezőcsát one. In the last gallery we can find vessels differing from previous ones both in colour and in decoration. These are the product of Nagyvárad pottery. About Nagyvárad pottery we know so much that it looks back a great past and has an impotant role in XVIII —XIX century. The exhibited objecs show typical style. They worked one white ground with yellow, green possibly brown colours. Their decorations are typical, the wavy lines, star-like flowers, lobed leaves have slightly Byzantine, archaic effets.
