TANULMÁNYOK AVAR PAIR OF STIRRUPS OF MIKEBUDA In the Balaton Museum of Keszthely there is a pair of stirrups from the Early Avar period which survived the destruction of the collection in 1945. Their restoration in 1956 revealed that they were inserted with precious metal. For lack of any registration numbers the objects were mistakenly identified as finds from Csabrendek belonging to the former Darnay Collection. Consequently, their photographs and drawings appeared under this title in several publications. The author of this paper found out already in 1984 that this pair of stirrups in fact originated from Mikebuda (in the original publication: Mikebudaháza) in Pest County instead of Csabrendek. A comprehensive publication about the Middle European finds of the Avar Age published in 2002 also referred to these items as "finds of Csabrendek" so the author reconsidered the data and proved that the site of this one of the most beautiful pairs of stirrups of the early Avar period must be Mikebuda. Róbert Müller AWARISCHE STEIGBÜGELPAAR VON MIKEBUDA Im Balaton-Museum in Keszthely befindet sich ein Steigbügel-paar aus der frühen Awarenzeit, welches bei der Zerstörung der alten Sammlung 1945 unversehrt blieb. 1956 wurde es restauriert und hierbei stellte sich heraus, dass die Gegenstände tauschiert worden waren. Mangels Inventurnummer identifizierte man sie irrtümlich als einen in Csabrendek entdeckten Fund aus der ehemaligen Darnay Sammlung, und so publizierte man die Fotografien oder Zeichnungen auch in mehreren Werken. Der Autor fand bereits 1984 heraus, dass das tauschierte Steigbügel-paar nicht in Csabrendek, sondern in Mikebuda (in den ursprünglichen Publikationen als Mikebudaháza benannt), im Komitat Pest, gefunden wurde. 2002, in der über die Denkmäler aus der Awarenzeit Mitteleuropas erstellten Zusammenfassung, bezeichnete man es erneut als in Csabrendek entdeckten Fund, weshalb der Autor die Daten von neuem studierte, und nachwies, dass der Fundort eines der schönsten awarischen Steigbügelpaare nur Mikebuda sein kann.
