Tanulmányok – Abhandlungen - Éry Kinga, K.: Comparative statistical studies on the physical anthropology of the Carpathian basin population between the 6–12th centuries A. D. p. 89–141.

2. Studies of individual samples A) The main characteristics of the 18 series representing the Árpád Period may be summarized as follows: Abraham (No. 103; subcluster 1/a, Figure 56). The greater part of this population is entirely Europoid. The Euro-mongoloids make up some 13(?) percent of the sample. Analogies: the 5—3rd century В. C. Scythian Period sample from the Northern Pontic region (No. 7), the 3rd century В. C. to 3rd century A. D. samples dated to the Late Scythian Period from the Northern Pontic Nikolaevka —Kazatskoje (No. 28), Zolotaya Balka (No. 29), Neapol (No. 30) and Zavetnoe (No. 31), the 5—7th century A. D. Birsk by the Byelaya river (No. 38), the 10—11th century A. D. Sarkel II by the Don river (No. 54), the 6—7th century A. D. "western Germanic" samples from Mannheim (No. 67) and Weingarten (No. 71), the 9th century A. D. "western Slavic" Mikulcice (No. 73), the Avar Period Nővé Zámky (No. 84), Tiszaderzs (No. 92) and Toponár (No. 93) the Árpád Period Cegléd (No. 106), Dolny Jatov (No. 109), Jászdózsa (No. Ill), Ptuj (No. 115) and Székesfehérvár-Szárazrét (No. 119). History: as far as suggested by its primary analogies the Besenov population may have formed in an "Usun" environment on the one hand. On the other hand it was also influenced by autochtonic populations from the Altaic foothill region, and finally developed within the context of "nomadic Turkic" characteristics represented by the inhabitants of the same region (Figures 58, 59, 60, 61). Its similarity to the two samples from the Period of the Hungarian Conquest may be the result of common origin, or geographical proximity of the locations where these groups were formed. Fig. 57: Dendrogram showing the analogies of Besenov History: the Ábrahám population may have been formed somewhere within the distribution area of subcluster 1/a. The location cannot be determined more exactly because of the secondary nature of similarities found between this group and its analogies which do not belong to subcluster 1/a and were identified east of the Dnepr river. On the other hand, primary and mutual similarities between the sample from Ábrahám and those from Nővé Zámky, Mikulcice and Dolny Jatov located in the proximity of the site under discussion suggest a direct connection between these sites. Besenov (Zsitvabesenyő) (No. 104; subcluster 2/a, Figure 57). This sample is dominated by entirely Europoid individuals although the accurate proportion of Euro-mongoloids cannot be reconstructed on the basis of the original publication. Analogies : the 5—4th century В. C. Scythian Period sample fron>the Altaic region (No. 11), the 7—6th century В. C. Tagar I from Minusinsk Basin (No. 12), the 3rd century В. C. — 1st century A.
