Consequently the great Early Bronze Age culture, mentioned by various names, may be roughly divided into two large chronological horizons; its ethnical groups lived in diverse areas and in various periods. Thus there is no group the name of which would be suitable for the general denomination of the culture, or the people, respectively; it is desirable to find some common feature or idea which, used as a common term, would embrace the loose conglomerate of all related ethnical groups, without causing terminological misunderstanding in future research.
