76 yielded the negative with the dog; this pottery worked till the first decades of the third century. 34 The second, the mould with the antelope came to light in the Gas-works potter's settlement at Aquincum, a workshop which functioned in a time identical with that of BrigetiO'. 35 — Our disk negatives probably come from the end of the activity of the workshops. For the time being we cannot align but a few Pannonian specimens of the provincial Roman archeological material connected with the Sassanid treasure of motives; presented here, or, to put it punctually, with the vessels ornamented with medallions showing stylized animal figures. We hope that our review will give occasion for the discovery of some additional pieces, and perhaps we shall be able to return to this group of finds with a knowledge of more material, supporting by new parallels our conjectures given only in outlines at present. Edit B. Thomas The material is unpublished. I want to express my thanks to L. Barkóczi for his obliging oral communication. Ci. K. SZ. PÔCZY, Acta Arch. Hung. 7 (1956) 100.
